       PSC's New Website Goes Social


Have you seen our new website?  We have redesigned it from the ground-up to create a newer, more dynamic presentation with improved navigation and more content.  We have also added links to Twitter and Facebook so you can follow what we are doing on a daily basis.   The Tag Filter feature on the left side of each page makes it easier to find all of the information you need on a particular subject with just a single click of the mouse.

The most important feature is the underlying Open Source technology that will keep the site “as current CNN.com”.   Non-technical personnel will now be able to add graphics, slide presentations and other information formats including links to relevant blogs.  This will enable anyone with the appropriate permissions to add or update content at any time thus maintaining a steady flow of the latest information.  

The PSC Newsletter, now in its ninth year, will be changing as well.  Now part of the new website, it will share the same links and graphics making it more compact and efficient to distribute.

       Collaboration for (Better) Business

  

The collaboration statics for 2009 are in.   According to InformationWeek (Sep. 14), the pressure on manufacturing to become more efficient internally and up and down the supply chain puts them out in front of other sectors in the adoption and utilization of collaboration technologies.   Sixty-six percent have deployed some form of collaboration tool or process including mobility, social media, Web 2.0 and the Cloud.   The advantages include better BI, lower costs, improved customer service, and the ability to better compete in the global marketplace.   This makes sense, of course, since collaboration is the key to increasing human productivity, which is at the core of the industry.

PSC Group to showcase the Sandler Training® Framework for Microsoft Dynamics CRM at the Sandler Sales Systems, Inc. Conference - November 5-7, 2009
