The PSC Group Newsletter
As we discussed in our last issue, Social Media is crashing upon the enterprise. Primarily due to demands from Sales and Marketing to have a "Social Media Presence" on Facebook or Twitter; there is little doubt that enterprises need to be prepared to deal effectively with these rapid changes. As fast as advertising agencies and marketing consultants are racing to set up social media campaigns, there are large cnterprise concerns that must be addressed sooner rather than later.
Security |
Who has control of user names and passwords to Enterprise Accounts on sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn? Do the usernames and passwords follow corporate policy?
Accountability |
If multiple people are using the Enterprise Accounts, how do we know who is accountable? Who is approving content for publication to Social Media Sites? |
Monitor & Respond |
How are we monitoring our own (and OTHER) social networking sites for comments and feedback? How are we handling responses?
Measurement |
How do we know what kinds of Social Media campaigns are driving value to the Enterprise?
To help Enterprises address these concerns, PSC is preparing to introduce Social Media Manager. Through Social Media Manager, organizations will be able to create, monitor, respond and evaluate social media content. Social Media Manager will offer integration with your existing Web Content Management system and Enterprise Security and Workflows. Social Media Manager offers a single point of content creation for multiple Social Media Sites, a monitoring workspace and metrics that will allow organizations to determine what is business-effective in the Social Media space.
If you'd like a sneak peek at Social Media Manager, please let us know - we'll be happy to share. Please contact us at socialmedia@psclistens.com or give a call at 800-592-8003.
Talk about instant gratification...we are moving in that direction faster than ever. A recent article in InformationWeek brought home how we are more “in the moment” than ever before. For example, while in the moment of hunger on the way home, you can customize your pizza over the internet and have it will arrive when you do. No waiting and you have it your way. Want to deposit a check? Just whip out your smart phone and send a picture of the front and back along with our online deposit slip. You don’t have to wait until you get home, or back to your computer, or to the bank. Do it now. Get it over with. What about golf? If you are in Chicago, just grab your iPhone and use a Crain’s Chicago Business APP (developed by PSC, download free from iTunes) to choose from nearly 200 courses. You can sort by distance, rating, slope and price, and call the course right from the listing. When you are on the course, another iPhone app will tell you the distance to the pin for your next shot. Information, and lots of it, is literally available where and when you need it, at the moment, in the moment. If consumers are in the moment, businesses cannot be far behind. Hang on, the world is changing at warp speed.
